Sometimes overlooked as business destination, Paraguay presents some aspects that could be used as advantage and offer companies a possibility to settle in South America.

Companies that choose Paraguay will profit from affordable cost and a young and trainable workforce boosted by a demographic bonus (64% of population under 35 y.o.). The country also counts with clean, abundant and competitive energy (Paraguay is Nr.1 generator of renewable energy in LATAM) and a diversity of natural resources.

Paraguay has a relative macroeconomic stability when compared to some of its neighbors and the country offers special investment regimes for industries, such as: maquila regime, law 60/90, raw material regime, automotive regime, free zones, among others. These regimes offer various tax advantages, providing a simpler and more competitive tax scheme among neighboring countries.

He is a professor and also, passionate about innovation and the development of human capital. He is the first Paraguayan to hold a regional position in PedidosYa. Given his success in Paraguay, he now manages the financial strategy for 9 Latin American countries.

Nikolaus Osiw – Director of Competitive Intelligence at the Exports and Investments Network (REDIEX)

Nikolaus Stefan Osiw is Engineer in Territorial and Environmental Planning.

He attended the German Concordia School in Asunción, Paraguay; and the Technical University of Kaiserslautern, Germany. He served as adviser in the technical cabinets of the Ministries of Industry and Commerce, and Finance/Treasury. He has been working at REDIEX since 2008, first as Manager of Commercial Intelligence, then as Director of Business Intelligence, and currently as Director of Competitive Intelligence. In addition, he is a professor at UNIDA University in Paraguay.

Lizzie Kennedy – CEO at Nestlé Paraguay

Lizzie Kennedy is Country Manager of Nestlé Paraguay, she has been with the company for more than 15 years, she started at Nestlé in 2005 as Consumer Marketing Manager, and since then she has developed a great career in Marketing and Sales, successfully leading the launch of new brands and businesses such as KitKat and Nescafé Dolce Gusto. Lizzie is the first Paraguayan and the first woman to lead a corporation like Nestlé Paraguay.
