Swiss Sustainability Benchmark

The Swiss Sustainability Benchmark is the first national benchmark assessing business contribution to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Swiss Sustainability Benchmark

Why does it matter? Sustainability is playing an increasingly important role in strategically managing business risk, environmental impact, and employee engagement aside from strengthening resiliency and reputation, areas that are also becoming essential for tendering and procurement processes.

The Swiss Sustainability Benchmark is designed to help businesses:

  • Get a quick assessment of their sustainability performance based on global best practices and standards developed by B Lab
  • Compare their performance to other Swiss businesses through a report to be published end of 2021
  • Appear as a contributor in the Swiss SDG Benchmark report (2021)

Participate to accelerate action towards achieving the SDGs

  • Assessing the private sector’s progress made so far in order to inform the actions that need to be taken to achieve Switzerland’s Agenda 2030

Why participate:

  • Improving performance: the Swiss Sustainability Benchmark not only gives a snapshot of how businesses perform compared to international standards, but also gives key insights on the best practices in social and environmental impact and governance.

  • Collective action: It is only with the participation of thousands of businesses that we will be able to accurately report on the state of the Swiss private sector, and consequently identify meaningful actions to reach the SDGs and the Confederation’s Agenda 2030.

Accessing the benchmark
