Water Congress 2023 is an opportunity to learn and exchange knowledge, practices and solutions over the most relevant water management issues related to the global industry and mining. The congress brings together executives, professionals and academics mainly from areas related to the environment, sustainability and water management.
Mining and Agriculture are Chiles main export sectors, generating sales worth more than USD 50 billion per year. Both of them are heavily affected by an important water deficit which was provoked by climate change and higher water demand from the productive sector in the last decade. As a result, the Chilean economy needs to reinvent itself to save water. Massive monetary investments —nearly USD 5.5 billion— were announced by the government in 2019, to be spent in the water infrastructure sector; water management, desalination, technified irrigation, underground reservoirs, water treatment, and others included.
Water Congress 2023 is an opportunity to learn and exchange knowledge, practices and solutions over the most relevant water management issues related to the global industry and mining. The congress brings together executives, professionals and academics mainly from areas related to the environment, sustainability and water management.
