Water and Wastewater Market in Brazil

Opportunities for Swiss companies

The Brazilian sanitation market is finally opening up. Learn about the opportunities for Swiss companies at this informative webinar that covered the recent changes in the regulatory framework and presented key elements of success in the market.

Concentration and public monopoly have set the tone for the sector competitiveness and have led to a difficult situation: 35 million people lack supply of treated water and 100 million are deprived of proper sewage coverage. More than half of all wastewater of the country is not properly disposed of.

In July 2020, Brazilian parliament approved a new legal framework for the sector that promises to change the game and revert the decade’s long gap in investment. The new bill aims to bring more transparency and legal security to the system, thus boosting private participation through concessions.

At the webinar, Yves Besse (CEO at MSB Consulting and expert in Sanitation market in Brazil) presents the new scenario both in the municipal and industrial market, signalling the main players and the future projects. Bruno Aloi (Deputy Head of the Swiss Business Hub Brazil), on the other hand, draws a market picture from the Swiss perspective, presenting how the Swiss SMEs could benefit from the changes expected in the near future.

You can get to see this and other exciting aspects as well as answers to audience questions in the video "Water and Wastewater Market in Brazil" webinar. Don’t forget to download our exclusive report on the sector with a comprehensive view of the market and the upcoming opportunities.
